Welcome to our new website! If you have been to Texas Soap before, you will notice a few changes. While all Texas Soap & Sundries soap base recipes remain the same, you will see that fragrance selections for Milk & Honey, Olive Oil and Soaps By Design have changed to more of a western/southwest/Texas theme. Even though our business name changed, we still enjoy the Texas country life and wanted to keep it in texassoap.com website design and products. About Texas Soap
I began making soap in October 1999. My grandmother (Tiny Stockton
Hallford) used to make lye soap from bacon drippings. I asked her to show me how she made it but she said it was too dangerous so I decided to learn to make it on my own. I purchased a bucket of lard, a can of lye and became “addicted” to soap making! My interest in herbs combined with my enjoyment of soap making brought about Texas Soap & Sundries in November 2000. I wish my Grandmother could be here to be a part of my soap making adventures but her memory will live on through this old time tradition.
March 25, 2009 Name Change
In 2008, I tried to file Texas Soap & Sundries as an LLC. The name was rejected because other companies had similar names. I decided to change the name to Mist Soap LLC.
I hope that our products will be a blessing to you. If you are not satisfied with your order, please contact us for a refund or exchange. Shipping charges are not refundable.
